Now look closely at those pictures and think about them. This is the company you're keeping. By placing those pictures there you've invited those people into your inner sanctum. Consider them again more closely ... do all those people truly deserve to be there? What I mean by that is are they supporting you? When you look at the image, does it LIFT YOU UP with loving support and fond memories? Or does it BRING YOU DOWN with negative associations or memories? The image of your wedding guests on your happiest day may serve you well, but you might reconsider your photo of the family matriarch who's watching closely over you with her ever critical eye!
How about your office? Would you put a picture of your laid back and carefree friend in there? If you want to be motivated and inspired, maybe not ... but if you want to be reminded to relax during your stressful day that picture may be the best choice!
If your home is like mine you probably have limited display space. I love pictures but I just don't have the room to display every one. So the ones I do display are chosen wisely. The images are of people I love (and a couple of pets), memories I cherish, and a few uplifting messages that I like to remind myself of. I update my pictures often too, because I prefer to keep things current. In general, if you want an easy way to shift the feng shui of your home, be deliberate about the images you surround yourself with!
