I love this program because it allows me to bring Feng Shui to people who are far away or those who have a different price point than a hiring a private consultant. (It's a bonus that I get to do it from the comfort of home!) I also love it because it keeps me on track. I'm always participating in the program as well as facilitating so its a win-win for me and my spaces. Finally, I love it because I learn so much from all the other group members and am constantly inspired by what they accomplish, shift and discover as they move thru the program.
Each day I post the area that we're working on and how that space affects the various energies and areas of your life. I'll tell you what to look for in that area, and suggest simple adjustments you can make to improve the Feng Shui flow of that space. One of the first spaces we address is the front entryway. Here's a peek at the post for that day:
DAY #X: Front Walkway and Entryway:
Today I want you to take some time to notice the approach to your house and your front doorway and inside entryway(s). Pretend that you are approaching your house for the first time as a guest/stranger.
- Is your house easy to find?
- Are the house numbers clear?
- Is it well lit?
- Is there a clear pathway to get to the door?
- Is it clear which door to enter?
- Is there anything that distracts your attention away from the house?
- Is the entrance door welcoming and appealing (do you feel good when you get ready to enter? ... think welcome mat, wreath, flowers, lighting etc).
- When you enter can the door open fully to let you in or is it stuck/blocked in any way?
Now inside the entryway ...
- Is it welcoming?
- Is there a place to put down your stuff and "shed the energy from the outside world"?
- Is this space well lit, organized and welcoming?
- Is it clear which way to go once you're inside?
Front doorways are called the "mouth of chi" in feng shui ... it's where all vital life energy enters into your home. I start with this space because I think this is the most important part. Whenever I need some fresh energy in any area of my life ... whether it be more cash flow, more clients, more insight on a certain subject ... I freshen up front walkway and doorway and I make sure the inside entry way is neat and organized (which is a constant challenge!) So today, notice those spaces and take some time to address any challenges that are there.
After the post goes up the real fun begins! Group member check in through out the day, posting their challenges, questions, photos and success stories. Once people are given the chance to look at their space with new awareness they quickly become inspired to take action a spend at least a few minutes changing things up. Then the next day we move on to a different space. Living rooms, kitchens, playrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, closets, attics, basements, offices and more all get looked at with a fresh Feng Shui eye for detail.
So now you have a peek at what we'll be doing in The 27 Day Feng Shui Re-Boot Program. Take some time today to look at your front entryway and make some of the simple shifts I suggested above. I guarantee your space will feel better and you'll feel refreshed too!
