I've found that it often takes just a few small changes in a home to get things moving in a positive and supportive way for everyone who lives there. 27 days might seem like a big commitment, but I feel like it's the right amount of time to make some sufficient changes and be able to hold the new energy flow that's created. For those of you that can't make a commitment like that, here is a sample task from the program that you can try today in your own space. It will take a few minutes but it will make a big impact:
The next time you come home, pay attention as you arrive and enter your house. Notice what you see as you come in. Listen for any sounds emanating from the space. Breathe in and pay attention to any scents that come your way. And most importantly notice how all of this makes you feel. (We usually don't do this action mindfully, but when you pay attention you'll see that these sights scents and sounds all have an impact on how we feel daily). If you notice anything negative like an unpleasant view, a squeaky door, or a smelly trash can, make a point to remedy it. Especially consider what small adjustment you can make to the first things you encounter when coming home to make them more pleasing and remove any frustration or stress. Put a pretty picture in view. Set up an aromatherapy diffuser with a pleasant smell. Most importantly, make it a point to slow down and enjoy these new additions the every time you pass by.
